WebApp - Taller IndustrialWebApp - Industrial Workshop
Stack
JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, PHP (API REST, MVC), MySQL, Git/GitHub.
Overview
A complete web application to manage the inventory of an industrial workshop: products, suppliers and movements, with role-based access (administrator, technician, customer). Delivered as a consultant for Zsystems.
My role
Analyst and Fullstack Developer. I gathered requirements with the client, modeled the database and built the backend and frontend.
What I built
- A normalized database that guarantees integrity and consistency of product, supplier and movement data.
- Stock control with entry and exit records, and traceability of the movement history per product.
- A product catalog and minimum stock alerts to anticipate restocking.
- Inventory and movement reports to support workshop control.
- Role-based authentication and authorization to restrict data visibility between administrator, technician and customer.
Architecture and technical decisions
- MVC pattern on the backend, with a REST API in PHP and MySQL as the database engine.
- Frontend with JavaScript, Bootstrap and jQuery.
- Normalization: separating products, suppliers and movements avoids duplicated data and keeps stock coherent. The entry and exit history makes it possible to reconstruct how each product reached its current stock.
- Minimum stock alerts: turn the inventory into a proactive restocking tool.
Key achievements
- Inventory control with full movement traceability per product.
- Reports available for workshop control and anticipated restocking through alerts.
Stack
